About

I'm Anshu—a product designer who believes good design is invisible.

For the past 6 years, I've been designing data-intensive B2B products at Synaptic, helping VCs and enterprise teams make high-stakes decisions with confidence.

I specialize in turning complex data into clarity—through thoughtful information architecture, interaction design, and design systems that scale.

Building

This portfolio—treating it as a product

From architecture to product design

My path to product design wasn't conventional. I trained as an architect, learning to think in systems and constraints before a single line is drawn.

That foundation shapes how I approach digital products today. I see the structure beneath the surface—the information architecture, the component relationships, the user journeys that connect everything together.

At Synaptic, I've had the privilege of designing ~90% of the current platform, from navigation systems spanning 105+ pages to advanced filtering that replaced custom SQL queries with self-serve interfaces.

Values

Outcomes over outputs

I measure success by impact, not artifacts. A shipped feature that changes behavior matters more than a polished mockup that sits in Figma.

Constraints are creative

Technical limits, tight timelines, and scope boundaries aren't obstacles—they're the frame that focuses the work.

Clarity beats cleverness

The best design disappears. If users notice the interface, something's wrong. I optimize for understanding, not aesthetic flex.

Own the whole loop

I follow work through to production, QA my own designs in staging, and iterate based on real usage—not just hand off and hope.
